In November 2023, Amersfoort was awarded the title of European City of the Year by The Academy of Urbanism in London. The jury commended Amersfoort for its exceptional quality of life, forward-thinking urban planning, and innovative spirit, all while maintaining its unique character and heritage. As a proud resident, I felt it was the perfect opportunity to highlight the charm of my city and explore the history of a football club that, unfortunately, is no longer in existence.
